The First Job Fair of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Horus University

Despite the distance between us, we had the opportunity to meet.

The first “Job Fair” at Horus University. Let us come together again and pave the way for our students to step forward.

Under the generous sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Horus University, Prof. Dr. Al-Saeed Abdel Hadi, President of Horus University and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Iman Radi Al-Bendari, Vice President of the University and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The Faculty of Pharmacy-Horus University, New Damietta, held the first annual conference of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Job Fair, which lasted for three days, and included a number of workshops, in the period from July 27 to 29.

The conference was held under the title “New Horizons in the Pharmacy Profession in Light of Egypt’s Vision 2030,” in the presence of a number of Public figures representing the pharmaceutical sector, led by Dr. Mustafa Ghanima, Advisor to the President of the General Authority for Health Care for Institutional Transformation, and Dr. Rasha Ziadeh, Assistant to the President of the Egyptian Medicines Authority for Affairs of Technical development and capacity development, a number of heads of pharmacist syndicates in the governorates, and a number of representatives of private entities in the pharmacy profession, including pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, and emerging companies related to technological applications that serve the field of pharmacy, as well as the Union of Arab Pharmacists and the International Federation of Pharmacists. A large number of Deans of faculties of pharmacy from various governmental, civil and private universities also participated in attendance.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber said that despite the recent establishment of Horus University, it was able to prove its distinguished level within a short period of time. He also expressed his full support for every contribution that is aims to raise the scientific level of the university’s members, and community, as well as opening channels of communication between the university and community institutions.

Dr. Iman Al-Bandari, Vice President of the University and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, said that these events come in implementation of the Facultie’s vision and mission to support and graduate a distinguished pharmacist capable of competing in the labor market with all available efforts.

Dr. Mohamed Yasser, the rapporteur of the conference, and Dr. Mahmoud Al-Khodari, the executive director of the Job Fair, moderated the conference’s discussion sessions, which included a number of issues and transformations in the pharmacy profession in Egypt and the region, the role of training in developing pharmacists and their profession, as well as the role of artificial intelligence applications in developing the pharmacy profession, and drug economics.

We hope that meeting will not be the last, and we are waiting for the coming opportunities to renew this meeting.
